Will any year c5 headlight motor work?
My pass side is grinding--2001 z06--any pass side motor work for replacement? Have a chance to by one cheap--not sure what year the motor came out of-

If you are going to buy a used motor then I would buy a pre 2000 because they can be more easily opened and have access to replace the gears with brass gears. The later year cars can be opened but must be cut open and then glued back together. Early year motors had screws holding the halves of the motor together.
Alternatively buy the kit to replace the gears in your 2001 motor. Kit sold by Rodney Dickman contains all you need including a quality Urethane glue.
