Hey guys my frc has the lights going out in the factory radio, just wondering what radios and/or bezels you guys are running in your cars. Really not wanting to alter the factory radio bezel. Just wondering what options there are.
Thanks

In my opinion installing a double din unit was one of the best upgrades I did, Contact Dennis at double d mods a forum vendor for a great deal no matter which way you go.

If you are happy with the sound from your stock HU, Just replace all the light bulbs! There's a writeup somewhere on exactly how to do it.
As with all things in life, you get what you pay for! A double din bezel conversion is only $200. I say 'only' because if you look at the quality of Mr. Bill's conversion it looks factory and with something that's in your face every time you drive the car, you WANT quality work. Several double din units can be had for under $400 bringing the bill to around $600. You can put in a single din but then you will have extra space around the HU that IMHO looks out of place. Cheaper yes but just doesn't have that factory look.

Dennis at Double D Mods will provide not only excellent radios and modifications to the bezel, he also has great tech support! When I bought my Kenwood unit, I sent my bezel to him for the required mods and the work was first class. The head unit it in the new opening was perfect. And he can also mod the bezel to accept gauges in place of the cig lighter/ashtray, or leave it smooth or retain the stock piece. There are other options for color or even leather!
His aftermarket radios can be used with the existing Bose amp/speaker setup with plug and play adapters that connect the head unit with the Bose stuff.

You might want to just speak with Dennis at Double D Mods and see what he may have that would fit in the stock radio slot and bezel. I would think he could set you up with something.
