I will be there May 3-4th. Looking for advice on hotels in the area. Main concern is safety of my car overnite.

Looking forward to seeing the Corvette racing team C7.

Thanks.

My sister lives across Rt 68 near there. I can see the track when I hike in Toro Park behind her house. I know nothing about the hotels, but the area is safe, especially when the Concours is being held. The place is crawling with expensive cars, and I know of no problems or of any kind of "rep".

Default Hotels close to Laguna Seca

Do yourself a favor and find a Hotel in Monterey rather than Seaside. I am from there and i know what lurks in the shadows. Embassy Suites will be crowded, but its a straight shot to the race way. Lots of little motels in monterey that are low key but secure. I just stay at my Mothers house! Reserve early!

I live and work in Monterey/Santa Cruz.

This is the best around.. great places to eat and walk around later too.. right on the water! I also agree to not go anywhere near Seaside.. just shoot for Monterey or even Carmel.

I've gone the last 11yrs in a row, and except when the wife and I went to the Historics last Summer and stayed on the coast, for the ALMS I have always stayed in Salinas. Never had an issue with my M3 or the Vette. Tons of places to eat, and no overblown prices..

Now that I live up here, I fly to San Jose and rent a car. Miss the cool drives we used to have to and from the track. (hwys 33, 196, 25 etc..)

They have a lot of Really Big Fancy events down in Pebble Beach that books a lot of the hotels up years in advance. Some big wing ding is going on in PB right now.. 49ers and Giants players are playing in a golf tournament. It was really hard to get around in there today.. I'll see if I can come up with some more hotels.

There is always this Hilton.. about 45 min away tho.. but really nice. Closer to Santa Cruz. Checked some places down closer to Monterey and most are booked.. they book up quick down there because of all the events.

You can always try Travelocity.

Good Luck!

Thanks! I see some good options on Hotels.com also...now if I can convince the other half that this a great adventure, I will be in.

Thanks to all.

I booked a room in Salinas on Highway 68/John St. I did look at Seaside.

Hope for top down weather in May.
