If you have a manual transmission, a shorted b/u switch in the transmission can blow that fuse. Disconnect the plug and replace the fuse. If it stays ok, plug the b/u switch back in, if it blows you need to replace the switch. Not expensive and not hard to replace. Automatic is a different story.

My car is a standard shift so where is the reverse switch located on the trans mission?

Pretty sure it's on the gear selector assembly that mounts to the side of the trans, where the shifter cable attaches. Part of the Park/neutral switch assembly.
