I doubt it. I am sure it was the cheapest paint they had. The 49 was a barn find that had been sitting in a shed for years. Dumped some gas in the carb, put a battery in it and fired it up. My Dad gave the farmer 50 bucks and we drove it home, sputtering and backfiring all the way. My brother drove it to school for a year, then when I got my license I drove it for a year. After that it was still running pretty good, so I sold it to a buddy for 50 bucks. We sure got our money out of that old pick up and it looked pretty good from a hundred feet..

For my 17th birthday my father gave me his 62 chevy impala
ss light blue with the 283. Needless to say the 55 chevy was gone,
sold to a farmer for I believe $300. I put a set of glasspack mufflers
