I have noticed about 1 inch of free play in the drivers seat position when coming to a stop or taking off quickly. Has anyone had this issue and what will it cost/take to repair. I just bought my 2002 C5 coupe about a month ago. Love it, has been a blast driving. Thanks

yes, I have the exact same issue with my 02. Here in Va, they almost failed me on my inspection because of it. I know there is a kit out there to get it fixed.
Easy fix. You do not need to buy the kit. You can use nylon washers from a hardware store and trim the sides. The kit has a wrench and good instructions though. I bought the kit and used nylon washers on the passenger seat.
Search the forum. I had the same issue with my 99 this summer. I was going to get the kit, then i found a step by step with pictures here on the forum. I bought $1.56 worth of nylon washers and about 1-1/2 hours of my time. I am far far from a wrench....if i can do this, anyone can...Seats are tight like new now.
Here it is. Gives part number for washer at Ace Hardware. It super easy. You will have to file/grind one side of washers flat....you will see it in the pictures.

did you actually find the right thickness somewhere? or did you use a belt sander and sand them down?
