This past weekend I pulled the Vette out to get an alignment..
I bought some Speedlines over the winter to replace the chrome Z06 wheels that came on the car. So I took the car to a tire shop to get the new wheels put on and get an alignment. I was surprised to see them doing the alignment with the old wheels on the car, after the alignment they put the new wheels on.
My question is should the alignment been done after the new wheels were put on??
It shouldn't make any difference what wheels/tires, the measurements are taken off the hub centers on modern alignment racks. And if they were using wheel mounted tools, they may have been trying to avoid causing damage to your new wheel that are painted not chrome.
