It's definitely not tranny fluid. It could be power steering fluid which is very similar in appearance to tranny fluid. Are you sure that it's not coolant. That too is redish in color but it has a very distinct smell to it. I'm assuming that you would be able to easily tell the difference. Soooo, my vote is power steering fluid leak.

it doesnt smell like steer fluid, and at first i thought it was coolant, i just cant find were its coming from. Could it be the cooler for the tranny fluid? is it located around that area?

Do you have an auto trans? The trans cooler lines are on the passengers side of the radiator, one line up top and one line on the bottom. Check those out.

Oops. I assumed you were referring to a manual tranny.

Nope, just pop the hood, stand on passengers side of car, and check lines going into back of radiator. Feel around them for a leak. May also jack car up and check the lines all the way back to the trans. They run down the passengers side of the car down around the oil pan, along the torque tube area to the trans

well i cleaned the oil off then started the car and kept checking for any leaks as the car warmed up, then once the trans temp reached about 160 the leak started slowly, but i couldn't see from the angle under the car or on the top it was leaking onto the top of the hose that connects to the thermostat but couldn't see were it was coming from FML
