Default L5's vs. Corvettecreationz flared fender

Hi guys, need advice!

Looking to add rear flared fenders and wondering if there is a major difference between the Lewis 5's and Corvette Creations flared fender. There is almost a $350 difference in the two on their respective websites and I am leaning toward the cheaper, any suggestions?

Also, are there any other reputable companies that sell this mod that is decent quality for a lower price?

Please chime in as this is a huge investment for me

thanks!

If you're not familiar with us (Corvette Creationz) we had these designed for us a couple years ago and have sold a ton of them on the forum. We have them on sale for $450 in fiberglass and $600 in carbon + shipping, check the thread below.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...-out-sale.html

Our fenders are smoother than the L5's, they have more of a body line to theirs. We also have them in stock and ready to ship, I believe with L5's there is a wait time. Anyway I'm sure some of my customers will post up. If you have any questions ask away.

My L5's needed no work and the body shop was very impressed with them.

When you say yours are "smoother" what exactly do you mean? Also, do you have the mud flaps available for the rears also or is it possible to use the L5 mud flaps on your product? If I had 2 cars and one had L5's and the other had yours would I be able to tell the difference once the fender was installed and painted?

Thanks for your input guys!

Chassed, thanks for weighing in, could you please explain what you mean by that comment? I understand the concept but would love to have more details. Thanks!

Have you purchased any of Pete's products or are you making snide comments based on something you read, with no actual first hand experience?

Quick question, what are people doing for an inner wheel liner when installing the aftermarket fender flares that are two inches wider??

Thanks,

It's not like the cheaper ones are cheap knockoffs. With fiberglass products they are all subject to molding imperfections that can be fixed by an auto bodyguy in an hour. The l5 ones are more expensive because they were at one time the only option. Coupled with the good old corvette tax. So I'd say you get what you pay for doesn't apply to this scenario.

If you look at the two the L5 have a distinct body line at the top of the flare, ours look smoother. We've been using C6 Z06 splash guards on these. I had a customer use L5's splash guards but they do take modifying to work.

I love forums!

I've had 4 friends local purchase from the above vender...they were Absoluety dissatisfied by their purchase. I won't go to into detail here about it. But I've seen some of the products being pumped out of that place. Another friend of mine purchased the fenders only to have them arrive in a broken box only to find the corners destroyed lol he wanted to cry, I understand that's a "shipping" deal, but it's something to keep in mind.
Yikes lol here is my car with their hood, not fenders I understand also, but it explains my previous post for those who need visuals to further explain.
I'm just expressing my opinion and those who have their products are quick to defend with their stories of satisfaction. It reminds me of when coupe owners defend their cars when people say the Z06 is a "better" car.
Anyways, here's the pictures. Love that quality control!

Good lord that looks horrible. What did you end up doing about it? Did you call to demand a new one or refund? There is no way I would leave anything fitting like that on my car.

If I recall you didn't buy that from me correct? If you would have we would have replaced it. I can show you 10 other ones the fit great.

I will say this again . I HAVE first hand experience I HAVE BOUGHT THE L5 AND THE CORVETTE CREATIONZ . the carbon ones I bought needed no prep . On the L5 it had pin holes and seems from the glassing . I loved them both . Do a search and a lot of people have been having problems with Lewis lately . .
