Dead/weak battery can result in numerous bogus codes. I would insure the battery is fully charged and will hold the charge. I might also have a load test done on the battery. Most car parts places will load test free. Then clear the codes, drive the car and check for codes when you return from the drive. Pull the codes BEFORE you turn off the engine.
Any codes that have returned are the ones that need attention.........
Battery charged and checks good. Same codes ... P0856, TCS No Comm, U1040. Clear them and they come right back. Next step?
Checked fuses, checked grouds, cleaned and reseated connection on ECBM. No change. Same codes, TCS No Comm, Service Vehicle Soon. Trac light and ABS light. What next guys and gals?
I just saw in one of the other posts. There is also a smaller connector to the EBCM. I did not notice it. Will try clean and reseat it. Thank for all help!

Nice color for your car BTW. Examine the connector closely too, make sure nothing's bent/corroded.

Ok, got the EBCM off. Next door neighbor is a nurse. She says doesn't think I need a transfusion but to drink plenty of fluids. I'm thinking Budweiser ... Anyway before I break into this gizmo, question about the connectors. Where does it get power? From the two prong connector? And what voltages should I look for?
