I don't see a big difference in the 91 vs 93. Where I live there isn't an option for 91 just 87,89, and 93. So I obviously opt for the 93.

However I personally recommend "premium" gas for example shell, chevron, and others that I am sure are available other places that where I live.

I ONLY use shell for this reason. My brother had(just totaled 2 weeks ago) a 02 SS with 85,xxx miles when the car was tore down for a H/C/I swap. I saw the internal of the engine/heads and they were SUPER clean! I mean super clean. The builder/tuner even commented on the cleanliness of the heads/valves and all other internal engine parts. The builder questioned the mileage on the motor. Ever since my bro owned the car 7 years and the car only had 49,xxx miles he ONLY ran shell gas and "premium oil"(royal purple and recently swapped to Mobil 1). The builder showed us another LS1 that had less than 40k miles and it was NASTY!!!

So I recommend SHELL gas and premium oil!! And that is all I use!
