The driver side vanity came off of my c5 and there is a lot of info how to repair it but I drilled two small holes through the bottom corners and installed two small phillips screws. This makes it very stable, the velcro and two sided tape didn't do it for me, to flemsy. When u close the mirror the screws are hidden. Use short screws so U don't go all the way throught the fiber board and cover.
Both of my Vanity Mirrors LIGHTS do not work. Any thoughts on that?

I have talked with two owners who said the wires feeding the visor lights are very small and can get ruined by sunlight, sometimes shorting out or sometimes just breaking the circuit. I would check for this.
The wires on mine didn't look to be any smaller than any other wiring for lights, check the switch to make sure it isn't hung in the off position. I had to fish my wires out when I repaired by vanity, they seemed to be pretty robust not deteriated at all from any sunlight. Check fuse to ensure you are getting power to the vanity and check the wiring with a test light to see if you are getting power to the vanity lights. Good luck
