My rear seal decided to shoot fluid out all over my garage the other day and I want to pull it and build it while I replace the seal
I'm running 12# boost with a cam so figure I need it. However it has never slipped. And it's been boosted for awhile now. Like about a year and now this New York cold finally gets to it.
Can anyone recommend what needs to be done to beef it up?
Some common failures with this transmission include stripped reverse reaction sun shells - there is a more robust shell available. The forward sprag is also a common failure, I would replace. I believe there is also a heavier duty input clutch housing available. I am sure there are other upgrades as well. I would contact a couple of local transmission shops and see how they beef them up for additional input.
Good luck!
