Now that I'm settling in with the car and the confidence factor is increasing, I'm missing the snug fit of the C4 sport seats.
I find the Z seat bottom rather pillowly and lacking lateral support.
I've sat in many C5 coupe seats and find that seat offers more lateral support. And it feels like your butt sinks in a bit more as well.
After reading your comments here it appears the Z was equipped with the "standard" seat, not the "sport" seat.
So those were the two basic seat options for 2004?
You think I should have the seat bottom altered or find a sport seat bottom?

Don't know about seat options in 04, but when I started tracking my car I quickly realized I needed a better seat. I now have the Cobra Suzuka fixed back seats. Great for the track but not so for long leisurely rides.
There are aftermarket seats available that are much better at keeping you planted than the OEMs and still have a reclining feature.
Corbeau a4 seems to be a popular choice among Forum members.
Can the manual rack from the passenger side be swapped in to the driver's side with no ill effects from the disconnected power controls?
I was installing a set of evo seats and I started the car with the power seat track wiring disconnected and a service active handling message appeared. Plug harness back in and message went away and has not come back since. Not sure why the message popped up as I know people install manual tracks with corbeau and other aftermarket seats all the time and I have not heard about any issues. Maybe something with the seatbelt wiring...don't really know.
