Rhino makes a set of ramps for low ground clearance cars. Found mine at Pep Boys, after making my way through the piles of ricer crap. They are wide enough to accomodate the rear wheels. If you go down too fast, the front airdam might rub a little, but i've taken it real slow and had no problems.
Can anyone recommend a good drive on ramp for the Z06. Just for minor maintenance and cleaning, oil changes, etc.?
rhinos - I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts for about $25 -
If your floor is dirty they will try to scoot away, but otherwise they work fine for my stock Z - I usually run the car up on the ramps, lift the rear onto jack stands - then get under the front and lift the front off of the ramps and place stands at the jacking puck area - got it up there right now to take my wheels back in for re-balancing...
If you put a towel or doormat under the rhine ramp they will not slide at all. Also you can place a 2x6 in front of the ramp and it will rub less. If your car is lowered this will help.
With the car lowered I struggled with finding a good set of ramps as well. The Rhino Ramps I bought at Pep Boys looked like the hot ticket, but they don't clear the bumper, let alone the spoilers.
My soultion so far is - I made a set of custom ramps that get the car up 2 3/4". These are used for getting the car high enough I can get a jack under the front cross member, which I use for maintenance. I also took a sawzall and notched the Rhino ramps, so the lower ramp nests into them. I can now drive up the pair of ramps without hitting anything. For the most part I've found the short ramps/jack/jack stands route more useful.
BTW, you can't back the car up onto the Rhino's, as the nose will hit the ground. For lifting the rear I prefer to use a jack under the cross member.
