Default C-Style Duraflex rear wing

What are y'alls opinions on this wing. This is the style I want as I love the Caravaggio wing like this one but I hear they can take weeks if not months or even more to get from them and I want one in stock and ready to ship. I would love to be able to find one local but I kinda doubt thats gonna happen. Pricing seems good and I'm ready to order but want to find one in stock somewhere as well. So what do y'all think about the Duraflex version of this wing. Fitment is extremely important normal prep for paint is fine but it must fit correctly to begin with.

I bought mine from Corvette creationz who is a vendor on this site. I got mine in carbon fiber to match my side skirts and front chin spoiler. The fit was pretty good, there's just a very little gap on each rear quarter panel. The quality is very good though. Shipped quickly as well. Held on by double sided 3m tape.

Looks great and love the side skirts too! I've seen the CF ones which looks great on the black cars but on my torch red car I want it painted. I didn't know if it was better to go ahead and spend the extra money for the CF one as opposed to the duraflex one since whatever I end up with will be painted. Why spend the extra money for CF when I'm going to paint it ya know... unless fit is better or something like that.

You wouldn't happen to have any pics of the little gap your talking about would you?

anybody else have any experience with the this style wing/spoiler especially the duraflex one?

That bad huh? :-( I am totally with you and I would love "the real deal" but from what I hear i'll be waiting for months if I'm lucky and paying just about as much for shipping as for the product.

and what did you think about it? Price is always a factor however I'm more concerned with fitment and receiving in a timely manner than the price necessarily.

Hey Pete, I know I'm a pain in the azz and all but you would be the guy that would know for sure. Is there any sense in in going with the carbon one that you offer as opposed to the duraflex one that you offer if either way it will be painted? Does one fit any better than the other or both the same?

If you are going to paint it get the durflex they are both light pieces. IMO there is no sense to paint over carbon fiber. I could understand a whole glass hatch but something that weighs a pound or 2 of eachother why bother. Plus its more $ for cf so duraflex would be my choice.

Carbon Fiber from Pistol Pete(QuikZ06). He's the man! Fitment was great and I decided to leave a tad bit of the CF showing What ever you order from Pete you can rest assured he will make sure you end up happy!

Couple cell pics in closer.

Thank you for the compliment! I had to try and get you to spend some money after seeing your HUD install thread! I think that look would be GREAT on your Vette!

Thats pretty much what I was thinking too. I don't care about the weight difference between spoilers if I was I wouldnt put it on in the first place or I would stop eating McRibbs right and no point paying extra for something I'm going to paint and will look exactly like each other when finished unless I was going to leave some carbon showing the Mr Tbrent's cool ride above.

I was just wondering mostly if the Carbon ones that Pete offers fit better than than the mass produced Duraflex ones or if there is is any difference other than one is cool looking carbon and one is (I assume) gelcoat and needs to be painted.

HAHA High Five! damn I hate to copy such a unique idea though and at first I thought ehhh I have my heart set on these silver wheels and yours looks good with the black but then again If I go with the carbon side skirts and splitter it sure would be cool to have your carbon and paint spoiler out back.

Hey brudda! Don't hate to copy it at all... Let's not even call it copying... I think this is the best thing about the forum.. People with Corvette's sharing the little things they do with each other.

I have always LOVED a red corvette with dark accents. Not to spam your thread but here is a picture that illustrates what I mean. And btw, what wheels do you mean? Like a brushed aluminum?

Always loved this car.

And one of the Johnson boys Vette's. Dark accents with red look so good.

By accents I don't necessarily mean wheels either. I love chrome/brushed aluminum too....

You been busy? I was just thinking the other day that I hadn't seen you post in awhile. Maybe it's just old age. Your car looks awesome as always.

I have really taken a liking to this spoiler too. My car is silver. I'm wondering if it'd look better painted to match or CF. I have the plasti dip mod and tinted tails. Damn you Paul...youre going to make me go broke!
