Seafoam Question
Has anyone used seafoam on their C-5s , I used to use the vacuum method on my L98 with good results but on their website it says not to use on the 5.7 liter with central port injection CPI ,so I have no idea what it has?

I have been seeing a lot of "seafoam is a hoax" stuff lately. I've used it on my truck and was going to use it on my boat, but I have no need for it in the Vette. I use Chevron Super and fill up at least 3 times a week, so the fuel is never in the tank for more than a couple days unless it's snow bound.
My commute is 35 miles (or more if I take the fun way home) each way, so I go through some fuel.

I think the op was asking about using it to clean the top end... I have used it in all of my cars and it works well... you can use any of the vacuum ports, most use the brake booster hose but the problem with that is it's at the back of the intake so most of the intake runners won't get any of the seafoam... I would use one of the smaller vacuum ports on the side behind the throttle body... and if you want to go a step further get a can of seafoam deep creep and coat the inside of the intake manifold with that and let it sit for awhile... that stuff works great and will break up all the oil residue inside the intake... I have since removed my pcv system and don't really need to use seafoam anymore since there is no path for oil to enter my intake now
