Has anyone installed a fixed mast antenna on their coupe ? The window antenna reception is poor to say the least .
If anyone has done this and has pictures please post them .
Check your antenna connections. The main antenna is in the rear glass. It is for AM and FM. The windshield antenna is the secondary one and is only FM. There is nothing wrong with the basic design unless you are in the middle of nowhere and you would have problems with any antenna.
Could also just be the radio. If the connections look good and you want to see if it is the radio I can loan you a good one I have to try and return.

dadaroo , a previous owner had put a Pioneer radio in , I plan on replacing it and if it turned out not to be the radio , I was wondering what would be involved in installing a fixed mast .
Thanks for the offer of a loaner. If mine was a Bose I would have tried it .
Putting in a fixed mast is a non brainer. Just plug it into the back of the radio. You will need to get a coaxial cable extension if you plan to mount it at the back of the car. Route the cable however you want.
If you want an antenna like the convertibles which is electric and raises and lowers it will be a little more difficult.
