Default C6 shifter replacement

I know there are a zillion threads on putting c6 shifter in c5z. After some reading seems like best place to buy it is thru GMPartsDirect.com

Do I have everything I should need if I use these part numbers?
GM Part # 25823572 (c6 shifter)
GM Part # 10354701 (c6 ****)

As I understand it, I will need to order a new shifter boot?

Do I need any other parts for the swap?

Thanks

I read in this thread about the rubber isolator not fitting? What parts do I need for this?

I bought a C6 shifter including the lower box.
It looks identical to the C5 lower box. Will I notice a much different shift if I install the C6 Lower box as opposed to just installing the C6 Shifter by it's self?

If your car has even 40k on the clock its a good idea to replace the lower box w the C6 style.

My 03 Z was rattling a bit and drove me nuts, new lower box fixed it and it shifted nicer also.

The heat from under the Torque Tube from the Exhaust heat soaks that box and eats up the bushings in the box and starts making it shift like crap.

I am a bit confused. (not unusual)

I installed a new C6Z06 shifter and box from GMpartswarehouse and used a stock rubber isolator boot. If you have not cut up the original boot for a Hurst or MGW shifter, why do you need a 2" PVC cap? My original C5 rubber isolator boot fit the C6 shifter just like it did on the C5 shifter. I ordered a C6 leather boot for a C5 from Redline and it all looks and works great.

I like the C6Z shifter better than the MGW I tried, but that is just me. YMMV.
