Default DIY Redneck jacking pucks

felt like jacking my C5 up and as usual with me I get an idea and it has to done right now! No matter how much smarter it may be to wait finding ice hockey pucks in FL is I assume about as easy as finding sun tan lotion or a surfboard in Minnesota. Sure they are probably there someplace but good luck finding it. I want my car jacked up now, like tonight! So here is my redneck jacking puck can I get a yeeee haw!

This fine piece of.....um engineering is what ya get when you use a 3" hole saw to cut a 2x4 and then screw in a #2 eye hole screw. I do have a friend bringing me some hockey pucks next week but this should work for now.

I would be careful that the wood does not break under weight.

That would be my concern. Hope you have some jack stands for added safety.

Lots of people use 2x's between their jacks and rear cradles all the time when doing oil changes (to raise the back end of the vehicle higher than the front, to get more oil out of the pan). While it may be a concern, I've never seen anyone warn about the 2x's breaking under weight in that situation. Why would this be any different?

Nah, its easy to find hockey pucks. Just look up your local youth hockey association and give them a call. Let your fingers do the walking. I did that, found the local youth hockey arena was only like 2-3 miles from me. Said they had plenty of old ones they'd just give me. I took 8. Built 4 for myself and passed the other 4 to another Vette buddy.
