I'm having a very hard time choosing what wheels should belong on my quicksilver C5 Z06. I really could use some ideas. I want to keep it under $1500ish for wheels. Seems like silver is the hardest color to choose wheels for! I currently have stock wheels in stock sizes painted black (previous owner) and I'm not a huge fan of it.
Please share pictures of silver C5's with aftermarket wheels.
For a whole set? Your options will be to buy cheap, cast, heavy Chinese replica wheels, or just save a few hundred bucks more and get some decent rotary-forged Forgestar wheels.
I should just close this thread down since my budget seems to be too small.
I've been thinking of running 18" OEM z06 speedlines all around. Possibly get them painted Cyber Grey at work. Really just looking to see what colors and designs work well on a silver Z.
I was just looking into the spyders last night, but couldn't find many pictures of them on a C5, let alone a silver one. Would be awesome to see pictures of those.

Frankly, getting two new Speedline 18 inch OEM wheels is the best value out there, although Forgestar and TSW make decent wheels at fair price. I once got a set of black center/polished lip Chinese tank bogies and my car felt like it had eaten too much. Unsprung weight is a bad thing--don't do it--and most cheap wheels are really heavy and not very strong. Don't dare track them....

I just saw those, those look REALLY good! Now I need to find someone with a silver Z with the Spyders- not sure if I'd want chrome or matte black. Chrome would be heavier I'd assume?

I'd say polished aluminum or chrome looks best on silver.
Black with red rim is cool too. And different. Everyone does machined rim.
IMHO! };^)
