Default Vent Mesh Screens

This has been done a bunch of times I am sure so I apologize in advance. I want to add the mesh screens in the four locations (fog, brake, side and rear).

There are so many kits available, but one in particular hit me as attractive. It is from a company called AmericanMods and available on eBay. $69.99 for all 8 pieces. They are T-304 stainless steel and have a nice mesh pattern.

My question is centered around the fog mesh screens. There are some with housings that attach with double side sticky tape, and some that are pressure fit. Do the pressure fit ones eventually fall out? Has anyone bought these from this company before? Thoughts?

Not trying to be cheap, but the whole set (all 8) from CorvetteMods for example is $260 in stainless steel. Are they really that much better?

Never heard of that company so can't give any feedback on them. I got my screen set from VetteShop and they have held up very well. Have had them on the car for over four years now.

I've seen those kits on dozens of Vettes and they always ends up looking awful. I actually ran over one of the front screens when it fell off another Vette I was caravanning with.

IMHO its a ghetto mod.

Just the kit from the company mentioned on eBay or screens on the vent openings in general?

Had pressure fit - lost brake duct and air intake. Went with two sided tape. No issues for last 6 months.

I have racemesh screens on the fog light openings. It has a housing that is to be used with double sided tape. I took advice I found on here and used Velcro instead of double sided tape so I can remove if I need to. Racemesh is very good quality but not cheap. Good luck with your decision.

I agree. Probably the best option for this mod if you are looking for OEM-like look but with better screen material. I purchased a set of those e-Bay pressure screens and they were nothing more than gutter guard with rubber trim glued on. Tossed them in the trash after one week. Live and learn.

Went with the ones from Vetteshop. Great reviews and a straight forward install! Thank you everyone for your help. When I get them installed, I will post some pics.
