A question for you guys that have done the battery den template here on the forum. I have never done anything like this before, my question is do I cut on the dotted lines and tape the pieces together and then cut on the solid lines to the get the correct size and shape? I was planning on using lexan for this mod how thick should it be? I plan on transfering it to cardboard for fitment first before making final cut on the lexan. Thanks for any help on this.
Actually I folded mine on the dotted lines and then took all four pieces and put them together and then taped it together matching up the cross hairs. (Havent moved it to cardboard yet. Thats this months project.
Here you go... save each picture to your system.
Open the jpg's with Paint. Start with #4. In Paint go to File, Print then Page Setup. Set Size to Letter (8.5 X 11 .in), Set your margins to .25 on the sides and .5 on the top and bottom. Use Portrait Orientation and Adjust to 100% normal size and click OK. Print #4 first and measure the opening for the fuse box, if it measures 4 3/16" (ignore the 4 1/8" on the page, that is too small) then you have got it right and can do the other three. Tape all of them together and cut out, then transfter to a stiffer paper or cardboard. Test for proper fit and when satisfied, transfer size/shape to Lexan, available at Home Depot or Lowes (get clear). Paint the underside to your desired color.
