Replaced my 2001 OEM shocks (40,000 miles) with C6 Z06's !!...paid $80.00 to have the F45 programmed out with a Tech 2 to get rid of the 3 DIC messages !!
You need to define what "best ride" means to you. Some think feeling every pebble in the road to gain the road hugging "On Rails" control is the best ride. Others want a cushy ride and still others somewhere in between. Different shocks can produce different rides........
very well said, we need more info as to what your looking for and what you intend on using the car for as like 8VETTE7 said lots of options out there that produce different results!

I have a C5 Z51 Coupe. Added the C6 Z06 shocks. Love them. GM Partshouse has great prices on them,,,,, The ride is firm but not rough and the handling is excellent!
I have Bilstien Sports. Roads are ******, my car is pretty slammed makes for a pretty rough ride. Factor in the roads in your area. I would've went with Bilstien HDs instead if I had a second chance. Im going to try raising the car up about a 1/2" to see if that helps a bit.
