Any one running 315/30/18 Toyo R888's on the rear or Nitto Nt01 or NtO5R. I was all set on getting the R888's then someone said they have a lot of road noise. Then I saw a Nitto Nto5 tire with the label still on the tire and it said not intended for highway use. Looking for others experience with any of these tires. I have 550RWHP need traction. lowered slightly on coilovers. Was also thinking PSS 305's but there now where available. Not even sure the PSS will handle the HP. I don't track the car or go to the drags. Mainly to work on the thruway , but when in the city I need traction as I pound the car !!!!
With that kind of rwhp I would think NT01's would be the best choice. They are a 100 tread wear tire though and really intended for track use but they are dot street legal. I run the NT05's on the stock wheels and never heard they were not intended for highway use. They were designed as a street/track tire with a 200 tread wear. They are great on the street, plenty of traction for mine but it's only at 363 rwhp. Not sure if they would have enough grip for your level.
My vote for your power level is the R888 in 305/35-18. Of the tires listed in this thread so far, I only have direct experience with NT05 and PSS, though, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

OP mentioned NT-05R, which is the drag radial version of the NT-05. Two different tires.
Ahh, yes, I missed the R. I see why he said they are not intended for highway use. I have had other nitto dr's and only drove them on the street going back and forth to the track. I really wouldnt want to run them on the street, they get so sticky they pick up gravel and things that gets thrown up in the wheel wells quite a bit. Plus they are a 0 treadware rating. They would have the best straightline traction of the 3 thats for sure. For street use I would choose the NT01's though. Your going to get better ride and handling with them since they are a road course tire not a strip tire.
