Glad you're happy but you lowered the value of the car since the minimal opening was developed by NASA sientists after years of research and it was a trademark of GM. Many other mauufacturers tried to replicate it but were caught up with patent infringement.
This probably sounds funny or exaggerated but it is factual.
Or not.

Unscrewed bumpers a 1/4 turn and she pops up a few inches now
I got one of these from Corvette Mods, when I installed it I didn't like the way the spring matched up with the bolt. So I modified it by welding a washer at one end, painted it black and now the spring fits flush with the bolt in the middle.

I don't think the infringement clause would apply as it is an opening assist and not a final design function of the aerodynamics of their good looking *** end.
thanks for posting this...didn't want to add the popup thingy and don't really need new struts..I think this will work for me. Never even thought of it...too simple I guess.

I just slid a SS washer over the last coil before putting the bolt through the spring. The washer holds the spring in place better than the bolt head alone. For $22.00 shipped, Corvette Mods should have addressed this. If I did it again, I would buy the pieces from the hardware store for $5.00 and do it myself.
