Lol everybody gets so uptight on here about little ****. I'm not new to Corvettes, but I have stayed away from them for the simple fact that majority of the owners have been ****** that are narrow minded. Thats why i stayed with Fbodys for so long. Its not like i was badging it with the Stingray emblems and trying to pass it off as a C7 because its not. The flag design just interests me. Everybody on this forum needs to just take a damn breath and relax because I have seen some horribly gaudy stuff done to Corvettes that pass for normal to the older generation.
Haha, there are different stereotypes for different Vette owners. The older guys are "Typical old fart Corvette owners" and the young ones (like me) are "I wish my mommy and daddy would buy ME a corvette!"

Really?! Remember, you went on a public forum and asked...
If other people's opinions don't matter to you, than just go and do it and don't get upset if other owners disagree with it. I'm sure there are just as many uptight Fbody owners who would get their panties ruffled if someone slapped a Z28 logo on a single exhaust V6 Camaro.
My stock politically correct answer:It's your car, do what you want.
My not-so-politically correct answer:I like the C7 and I like the C7 logo. However I think a C7 logo on a C5 Corvette would look stupid and would scream poser just like stick-on Z06 brake ducts, fake stick on wood or carbon fiber trim, tacky and scratched-up stainless steel covers, and LED undercarriage lights.

False badging is everywhere. Domestic guys do it, Import guys do it. But in the Honda world its called "Guilty of Rice by False Badging". But F it. It's your car, do your thing. People are gonna hate no matter what you do.

Seen it. And a 2012 V6 mustang with Shelby badges installed. Rather sloppily, I might add.

Someone needs a Chill Pill, To say that most owners are tools as you say is way off track, What we are is a brotherhood and some things are just not right to do to an American Icon, It has nothing to do with being old and tools, It is just that some thing just are not done, I don't expect you to understand what I am saying, But maybe you will. Mr.Bill
Not something I would want to do...
To most people that have no clue they would not notice anything different.
To guys like us we would laugh and point at you.....
If older Corvette guys can tack on a bunch of chrome louvers on their taillights, license plate lights, side markers, and the front bumper, Then go ahead and put a c7 emblem on your car. Their C5 isnt a C2 and they do it.
la vett girl you always crack me up with your posts!!!!
Like, in another post, your reason for buying your 'Vette, "Because it was on sale!" Priceless and I wonder how many guys actually "got" it?!?!?!? I laughed my butt of at that one too!!

I have a Mustang and I can tell you vette owners are a little more, shall we say, passionate.
Totally different people on a Mustang forum. The GT and Cobra boys and girls even get along with us V6 fellas.

This is the kinda stuff that i'm talking about as passing for OK to do, but nothing new because its against the brand or whatever. I wasn't asking opinions, just asking if anybody has done it because I'd like to see what it looks like. This thread did get entirely out of hand from a simple question. Where is the line drawn though? A badge is too much, but vendors sell whole bumpers to make the front and back to resemble a C6 Z06. Or window and tail light louvers to take the car back to the 70s. Even complete kits to make your c5 supposedly resemble a 50's corvette. All that is acceptable, but a badge "from a different year corvette mind you" just ruins the C5 all together.
Start a thread asking how many people have a C6 shifter on their car!
I agree with this statement. Same idea, but nobody gives a damn about that. Or better yet how many people have non popup headlights? Trying to pass as a C5-R? Or how many people have rear fender flares? Trying to Pass as a C6Z? Its stupidity that only certain things are ok.

You come on an International forum, asks for opinions (which you don't even need to do whatever you want to your car) and then get pissed when you don't get the "opinions" you want. If you want approval, you came to the wrong place.

I never understood this, the C5 emblem looks great and why in the world would anyone want to put another generation emblem on the wrong era of car???? just baffles me..
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
