I'm going to Sarasota - I understand there is a private Corvette museum between Sarasota and Ft. Meyers. Anybody have the address or directions?
Thanks!
Yep, it's called Muscle Car City and it's located in Punta Gorda, about an hour south of Sarasota off of I75. Below is the link with address, hours, etc. The place is awesome!
If you're in the area through the first week in May, make sure to check out the Corvette show on St. Armands Circle, Saturday, May 3rd! It's a great time with a lot of local shops and restaurants next to the show.

If you're going down 95 you could go through Orlando and stop by Rogers Corvettes on the north side. He's got a great collection of Vettes along with a showroom full of nice ones for sale.
While in Sarasota stop at the Sarasota Car Museum. It's very close to the airport and from the outside looks unassuming but has some really special cars inside.

Thanks - just got off their website. May have to buy another C5 when we stop.
MCC is just a few miles from my house. It is not a Corvette Museum, but, they do have at least one of every year Corvette on display, along with about another 150+ cars that are all GM muscle cars. The owner, Rick Treworgy, has a collection of over 400 cars, that he rotates through MCC (an ex-Walmart store, which he bought). There is a '50's style diner inside, that serves good breakfast and burgers. It is well worth your time to stop. It is on US41 in Punta Gorda, just north of Jones Loop Road (take the Jones Loop exit off of I75). NOTE it is closed on Monday's).

Yeah, Rick has some sic cars there. The building is supposedly an ole Walmart and it's packed with cars of all year, make and model. Have fun, I really enjoyed it. By the way their hamburgers aren't too bad either.
Charlotte to Sarasota is about 10 hours if only stopping for gas and no traffic but that is pushing it. I'd give it 11 or 12 hours depending on your habits.
