Default Disappointed - Cray Brickyard C5 Fitment

Just saw on their website the fitment options for the C5 for the new Brickyard wheel. Widest you can get is 10.5 inches (19x10.5 and 20x10.5) It seems Cray has something against making an 11 inch wheel for the C5. Other manufactures do it so I'm surprised they don't. I was hoping for the availability of a 19X11 in this wheel but now I'll have to go shop elsewhere.

I'm just plan disappointed that they're not available yet!

I was waiting months for Ruff Racing 954's (in silver) and finally gave up.
Then I figured I'd go with the Cray Brickyards (which I actually like better) I was told they would be available at the end of March...didn't happen, and still no ETA on either wheel. One vendor actually told me July/August. Waiting to hear from Dennis at DD Mods, his info is always dead on.

According to their site they have 18X9 and 18X9.5 in transit whatever that means.

GT Jim: Yes it does, did you read the description, also try the configurator. These rims are made exclusively for C5 fitment and are hubcentric. Will fit C4/C6/C7 as well. By the way, they are very nice looking and rotary forged as well. I wished they were available in '13
before I bought my TSW (Cray) Nurburbrings.

I clicked on the fitment link and selected C5 and the option for the 19X11 isn't listed. If it is available then that's great but I don't think it is. Maybe one of the vendors can chime in and confirm it.

Ok, well let's see what some of the vendors say. Hopefully one will chime in.

I ordered the 19x9.5 and 20x12 for my wide body c5. However the site I bought them from first said 30-45 days, now they said no eta available. Needless to say I cancelled the order, but I was excited because these are the only wheels I have found that will fit my c5 with flares.

Anyone else hear about eta?

Nope, no idea. Haven't seen any updates from any vendors lately either.

Two things I noticed, one the wheels aren't available until May and two none of the 11 inch wheels are offered for the C5.

Hub bore & bolt pattern would be identical for both the C7 & C5. 58mm offset for C5Z 10.5 " rims vs 73mm for the 11" Brickyards, difference of 15mm
or .59". The bricks would sit .59" inboard which may or may not create clearance issues, from my measurement of my Z that wouldn't be an issue. I have 10.5" TSW's with a offset of 65mm. and still have a lot of clearance with the calipers & suspension parts and that's only a difference of 7 mm
from the Bricks or .27"

Take a look at forgestar and their CF5, or CF14. I believe the CF14 now come in superconcave.

Build time for mine was about 6 weeks but could be shorter or longer depending on what is in stock. There are a few resellers of the forgestar brand on this site but I dealt "Howie Industries." At least a few other members have also went through this company with no complaints. Trust me, I called him several times and he was more then helpful, took his time and answered all my questions. Another good thing about these wheels is that you can play with the offsets!

Hi Mark, misery loves company, I am in the exact same position as yourself. I spoke with Dennis back in February about the silver 954's, at that time he was told 45 - 60 days. I actually spoke to Status Wheels today and was told in not so many words - we have no idea when the silver 954's will be available. The lady I spoke to indicated that they pretty well tell everyone 60 days no matter what. Like yourself, I was thinking about the Brickyards as door number 2 but now having seen this thread, forget that .. Yikes.

I sent an e-mail to Dennis this afternoon to see if his connections have some more welcomed news before I consider something else. It's criminal, I wonder how many others have $3500.00 burning a hole in their pockets trying to buy some wheels and rubber.

Karumba !!!

It's disappointing when you see a wheel you really like only to run into production snags from the manufacturer. I too like the looks of the Cray Brickyard wheel but it would be nice if they were readily available.
