I have a 99 C5 coupe with F45 shocks and less that 50K miles, I like the way the shocks work but I don't want to spend the money for new ones. I have seen that alot of people like the C6z51 sway bars and C6z06 shocks, but I am wondering if that is too firm of a ride in comparison to the F45 stock setup. I just drive the the car no racing, etc. Does anyone have any comments regarding the C6z51 sway bars and C6z06 shocks or any suggestions.

I plan to swap my F45 for C6Z shocks, but can't find anyone here in Central IL to tune out my F45, so I went to Radio Shack and bought the resistors to install to bi-pass the F45, basically letting the system think that they are still installed. If you don't, you'll get a DIC message and won't be able to go over 80mph. I think the setup you're looking at will fit your bill nicely. Zuti
I have Hotchkis sway bars and C6z06 shocks ... Nice upgrade for the street and I have cut a pretty consistent 1.3X - 60' at the track with them, 346Ci stock bottom N/A ... (vid in sig)

What is the closes suspension to the F45 without actually replacing the F45 shocks, sway bars, etc.
I'm pulling my 7,700 mile F45 suspension off and putting it up for sale. I'm mounting coilovers. The F45 components on my car are like new. Car has always been garaged and covered and I'm the original owner so no abuse.
They should be available very soon if you're interested.
