Default New Extremely Versatile C5/C6 Seat Mounting Bracket

Pictures of our new prototype seat mounting bracket are below. We believe it will quickly be recognized as the most versatile, easiest to use system for installing aftermarket seats in a C5 or C6. Sliders can be mounted to it but even without them seats can be adjusted forward or back and in and out WHILE IN THE CAR. The floor bracket is slotted side to side and our custom side mounts front to rear, so the seat can be adjusted in any direction. The bolts we provide will keep the slots aligned so all you’ll need is a wrench to snug it down where needed. If multiple drivers use the car at a track but you prefer not to use sliders, this can be your answer. Loosen from under the seat, readjust and tighten.

We will test fit in a C6 soon but the goal is to provide a flat surface just above the carpet (with some massive wiring harnesses underneath that many hate having to relocate) for the seat to slide on. We have not added any o/e belt mounting points because the best position for them would depend on the seat used and positioning. A piece of angle iron or similar could easily be welded on from the underside of the bracket once you determine the best position. If we find a location that works in most cases we will build it into the bracket. More on that to come. We will have a package price that includes our new rear restraint mounting bracket below.

Our website has been updated with the new mounting brackets. The description is on the product page but I have included pictures here as well.

The base bracket will come with two adapters that can be used for either stock seat belts or harness lap belts. If you want to use both the rear restraint mount can be added for $99 and will include 4 eye bolts. There are numerous mounting holes for sub belts built in.

Will this work with Corbeau A4's? What's the advantage over the brackets from Corbeau?

The A4's are bottom mounted seats, and I believe the mounting locations for the sliders are 11 3/8" apart widthwise. That would be too close together to mount to these brackets.

I'm not far in Shelton, CT so if you know any other C5/C6 owners needing hardware for side mounted seats or seats to gain headroom, I'd be happy to discuss options with them.

Here is a picture with the new belt adapters that come with the bracket. They are sized for the oem seat belt bolts but if you enlarge the holes slightly you can mount 7/16" harness lap belts if you prefer. We can do that for you if you tell us that at the time of ordering. That would work out great for anyone wanting to set up a second seat for track and mount the harness to the brackets for easy swapping in and out.
