Default glass top recommendations

New owner of a '03. I've found an ad for a GM factory glass top bough for a 2000, unused.

does anyone have an idea of a fair market value and is considering an aftermarket top a better choice than the GM?

Thanks

Your best bet is check out Ebay and see what the going rate is. This way you can compare prices ! If i had a choice between OEM and Aftermarket I'd go with the OEM !

Unused, new in the box could run as high as a grand - - good used tops run in the $5-750 range.

But a caution - - -it's been my observation (and experience) that these don't ship especially well. I would strongly encourage you to be patient and find one within driving distance that you can look at and fit to the car before handing over your cash.

Good luck-

I just picked one up that is in like new condition for $400. The price and location convinced me to buy. Most I've seen go for 500 to 700 in nice condition.

I looked at one today and the guy wanted $1500 on Craigs list and $1350 on the forum. My cash in person offer was turned down.

Don't need it at all, just thought it would be nice to have. He can keep it for that money and he even had the nerve to say he got it for free when he got the car. eck !!!!

Well, just have to let him keep it for that kind of $$$. His price is out of line. If he does sell it for that price, the buyer is even more foolish. The tops do not go for that much money.

I would say most of the glass tops are advertised for $400-600 - and those are in good to mint condition. Sure, some may be a bit higher, but not sure how fast they sell either.

I found a local guy selling a factory top in exc condition on Craigslist and included a polished lic plate plate/backup light frame and misc other vents trim items.

Great guy and was very fair in price.
