What happens when it rains with these cowl hoods? Does the water just drip onto the engine?

I would also venture to guess, many guys putting on vented hoods don't drive in the rain (unless by accident). Myself included.

On the MCM hood when washing the car water drips between engine and radiator to the ground... I cover my alternator just to be safe and like others said I don't drive in rain.

So I want a hood just to vent the air out from the engine bay. I'm guessing these aren't a good solution for that.
