2003-2004 C5 fuel tank issues
Hello again everyone!!
Thanks to the constant support and help of the forum, I have decided 100% that I am buying a C5 vette for my next car.
However there is one more question that i feel needs to be asked.
I was reading a post somewhere (i forgot where) that stated to be careful when purchasing a corvette (mainly pre 2001) because there are no longer any parts being made for them and most parts are unrepairable.
Simply enough I decided to stay away from C5's from the years of 1997-2000. So with that My search for a vette began.
BUT...
Then recently I read a post about how the 2003 and 2004 models are affected by some sort of Fuel tank leakage issue???
So Now I'm down to looking for 2001 and 2002 models ONLY.
However I keep seeing some pretty great deals on some 03 and 04's and I was wondering...
If I were to buy an 03 or 04, How likely would it be that I have the Fuel Issue?
Also How would I know If it has been addressed or is still pending?
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, How much is the COST of said repair???
Would I be better off just searching for a well maintained 2001 or 2002 or should i expand my reach to 2003 and 2004 models as well?
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR HELP!!!!!
