This might be a crazy idea, but can you talk to your neighbors and ask um about it?

I SERIOUSLY wanted to do that but I checked my mirrors first and there was a county mounty 3 cars behind him. Didn't need a warning or ticket. Know what I mean?

If I have to leave early on a weekend for a car show, I start it up and leave as quickly as possible. There's a guy that I occasionally see that lives about 1 1/2 blocks away that tells me he can hear my car when I start it, which gives me great pleasure.
According to my wife, our master bath room floor shakes when I start the vette

No complaints from the neighbors yet.

I've never had any complaints from our neighbors in the 14 years I've owned my car. The older guy up the street is a car guy and loves my car. As I said, I always try to fire it up a little later in the morning so I don't disturb anyone. I also try not to come home much after 8:30 or so at night so I don't disturb the sleeping little ones. I've actually had a couple of our police officers who are car guys stop by while on duty and ask me to start it. To me louder is better, which is probably why I'm going for a hearing test in a few weeks.

I have H/C, intake, headers, crossover and Corsa extremes...loud, no doubt. Do I love it? You bet.

Welcome to America...and living in a city.

I think you ALL make valid points, and we ALL like what we like. Have I had some complaints? Yeah, a few; but I've had ALOT more compliements and thumbs up. I've had people on the Interstate literally come beside me and roll their windows down! :-P

The neighborhood respect thing, is truly a must; I understand that. BUT...I also understand the 'living next to loud neighbors' point too; cuz I have them. The kids screaming at all hours of the day and evening, constant parties til late at night with friends coming & leaving...four wheelers/etc. being started whenever, etc. etc.

So guess what??? We're all right and we're all wrong...LOL...in someone's opinion. Me? I'm gonna keep on rockin' my sweet V8 tunes...in fact, I couldn't even tell you if my radio works any more; never listen to it!

Intake, LT headers, cam, Corsa exhaust...it's very loud. I haven't had any complaints yet, only teenagers in the area giving me the "rev the engine" sign as I drive by. I'm constantly worried that I'm disturbing people especially in the morning since it's my DD.

My car does gives a fair warning, though, on the front and back plates.
