All lC5s have a sensor that reacts to darkness that in fact cuts the flow of gas by 15% as a safety feature.
There is a kit to bypass this.
Contact your dealer and order a ZR1.

Next time at the strip someone needs to do back to back runs and note the difference and report back........... I know the difference running my 9 second Challenger in head wind , tailwind and uh, no wind.
