I really like the idea, it reminds me of airplane nose art, which I like a lot as decorations on transportation. I hope you don't mind if I steal the concept for my car someday.

I guess early exposure to my dad's old war plane nose art , an angry flying elephant throwing bombs with its' trunk, painted on his flight jacket as a duplicate of the work on the nose of his B24 bomber, ruined me for the usual lightning bolt, skulls, checkered flag stuff.

I had no clue about Speed's girlfriend. I though all he cared about was racer X or the monkey . I can, however, repot that the speed racer movie can seem somewhat coherent , as a visual display art piece , if you can manage to view it on a half million dollar home theatre, such as I once did at an audiophile show. It was as if they realized the movie was in trouble and so decided to just start to run a bunch of colors across the screen at various times. Looked real good, with a lot of pop in the colors.
