Default radiator fans

Will water damage the electric rad. Fans, i. Assume they can handle some water from driving n rain. I want to hose off radiator to clean out any crud, i already cleaned using compressed air but water hose may get anything air couldn't. Should i hose rad through fan blades or from other side. Thanks for your input

I don't see a problem with water but it isn't necessary, especially if your car isn't running hot

Air or water, doesn't matter: need to flush opposite of air flow, i.e. from the fan side.

Temp runs 196 going down road, climbs to 220 idling, no air on. Fans come on with air on but really haven't noticed if air. Is off. Just thought i would clean/flush as a maint item.i have read all the threads on elevated temps.
