My cars have neither a persons name or gender. To me, its odd

I refer to them as
02 Z06 New Hot Rod

Doesn't have to be a person's name. It seems you do have a name for them. Old hot rod and new hot rod. Unless I misunderstood your post. Entirely possible

No. When the question comes up "What car are we taking?". It's either the Vette or the truck. No names. Have had cars with names in the past though. Rackitty Boom, Ned and The Red Baron to name a few. All bring back fond memories of times past.

Pretty much what mine calls it too. Although I don't usually refer to her by name, I named it Blue Angel because she is Navy Blue Metallic and I live in a Navy town and she looks like a Jet. Big props to all our Military so that we can enjoy things like Corvettes!

I never really named one before, but after a time they always get referred to by some name or another. I don't even know why my wife always called this Corvette " Esmeralda". Really wish she had chosen another name you see back in 1968 I was walking down this street in---------------------- Oh hell you know what I mean.
