Default Metric or sae

I recently bought a 2000 C5 and I want to add a small tool case in the trunk and need to know if it's more metric than SAE? My '73 takes the SAE.

Thanks for reading,
Mark

All you need in the car is a 12 v compressor and tire repair kit if you don't have run flats

Probably true. There really isn't much that can be fixed out on the road with sockets on these cars. I do carry some fuses, electrical tape and tire repair/inflation stuff.

The C5 will use metric sockets and wrenches.

True of pretty much any car these days. A screwdriver for hose clamps and a pair of small vise-grips might come in handy, but very rarely.
Oh, and a roll of duct tape, just because.

I used my tool kit quite a bit on my C3, but there isn't much one can fix on these newer cars. I do carry a variety of screw drivers, a 6 inch vise grip, small cresent wrench, tape and a multi-tool just in case of the remote chance there is something that can be repaired, but i don't know what it could be.

I also carry a small toolbox that I transfer between my cars when I go out. It includes a number of other others things too including spare fuses.

However, I don't remember what we did before cell phones. I guess back then people were not as afraid to stop and help.

That just might be why people don't stop to help anymore.

Bought a nice compact tool set at Sears Hardware with both, some handtools, flashlight, hose clamps, electrical tape,... all for about $30 in a zip up case.
