Great to be back
In 2001 I purchased a Millenium Yellow convertible. My first Vette and one of the best days ever! Then in 2007 I had some financial issues and had to sell her. Luckily I sold her to a good friend who promised he would sell her back to me one day. Well today was that day! Just drove her home and man did I miss her.
True he put 23K miles on her in the 6 years (only had 15K when I handed it over) but she is still like brand new.
This time I will make sure she is not going anywhere!

I was really glad my buddy had it. I knew as long as he had her there was a chance I would get her back.
I told him its like divorcing your wife and your buddy marries her.. Then he dumps her and you take her back. But this is way better than that.

Great story...I am in a similar situation but I bought a Corvette from a family member and promised to sell it back when I part with it. (I am your buddy in your story) Only thing it is getting harder and harder to part with it. lol. I admire your buddy giving it up, one day I will have to do the same. Greetings, Rob

Yeah he wasn't 100% ready to part with her yet but he knew how much it meant to me.
If he really wanted to keep her forever I would have moved on but he always left the door open.

Great story and a great friend ! ..........I sold my '79 4 spd. in 2006 to a police officer in New Hampshire. Six years later I sent him a letter and offered to buy it back. He never responded......smart man. Now I'm glad that he didn't get back to me because it "jump started" me into buying the beautiful '02 6 spd. C5 that now resides in my garage.
