My '97 w/ 98K miles on it has a very slight stumble, or miss, at idle. It is not constant, and only apparent when I pay close attention. The plugs and MSD wires have about 12K miles on them.
A scan tool reveals that all coils are firing properly. It doesn't indicate anything is amiss. The engine runs strong and very well upon acceleration and cruising. The slight miss at idle is mostly just annoying. It has never stalled.
If anyone has any suggestions or solutions they would be muchly appreciated.
My wife's '03 does the same thing. It's not bad but it is not a perfect idle. But everything else is perfect so I'm not going to worry about it right now. Oh yeah, it only has 50,000 miles on it so I'm going to hold out on changing plugs and wires at this time.
my 99 is the same way just not a perfect smooth idle, 38,000 miles on it, my buddy old man has a 98 and it did the same thing, he took it to a dealership to see what they could do and they told him that these are known for this and its pretty much just how they run....weither or not that's true I don't know
