So I'm taking may car in for an oil change and was just curious to see what else I should do. Car currently has 63,000 miles on it.

Also when driving around in 1st/2nd @ 2-3k rpm the car doesn't sound healthy... Not sure how to describe it but it sounds like its working harder than it should. I'm not really sure possibly a belt ?

It does depend upon what you have already done.
I do
Brake fluid 2-3 years
Oil yearly or per indicator
Trans fluid depends on driving
Coolant won't last as long as indicated
I would change the belt and tensioner
Plugs Wires
Good Luck

If the coolant hasn't been changed in the last five years, do that.

Change your brake fluid if it has been more than a couple of years.

Check all hoses and belts for wear and tear - wouldn't want something to go wrong there.

Fuel filter if you do not know when it was done last.

Thanks everyone, I bought the car used roughly a year ago and the guy did a lot of the maintenance himself so I'm not sure what all has been done other than regular oil changes.

Any ideas on the issue I am having with the engine ?

Clean your maf sensor and throttle body, check the condition of the plugs, wires and air filter. When I drove my 01' with 77k mi off the lot it felt like it was down about 50hp until I cleaned the dirty throttle body and maf sensor and changed the plugs and wires and put a cold air intake on...all 350+horses came back.
