Default Do I need a tune ?

I'm putting on the Magnaflow #15660 that includes the X pipe. I have no other mods. This is a 2002 with 10600 mi. Does anyone know if I will need to retune. Thanks.

No real need to get a tune for just that mod. If you were installing LT headers at the same time, then I would say get the tune.

Has the car ever been tuned? Even a bone-stock car might benefit from at least a mail order tune.

Put a CAI on it, then tune it. It will wake the car up!

I got my 2001 Corvette PCM tuned at TUNEDBYFROST.com, and for $150, I don't have to worry about the CAGS any more, my gas gauge code that makes the gauge go to empty when 3/4 full doesn't come on any more, the car runs cooler because the fans come on at a cooler temperature, and, yes, it does wake the car up.

If you have an automatic car, it changes many things about the shift feel, the engine speed when it shifts, and other things.

The best $150 I have spent.
