C5 Starter Build Car
Hey all, relatively new poster to the forums....long time LS guy. After having 5 different 4th gen For Bodies, an SVT Lightning and a Ram SRT-10, I've decided to dip my toes into the Vette world. The reality is I can't afford a C6, and I'm not a big fan of the C4s other than their clamshell hood setup. More importantly I've been to Optispark country before and didn't enjoy it so much. Which brings me here. On the search for a C5 builder car. I want to get into a rock bottom price car because long term the higher mile motor etc will be swapped out or gone through. I'm hoping to find something in the 10-12k range.
I guess my question is, being that this car will go under the knife so to speak, for a minimum weight and max power build, are all NON Z06 C5s created equal for my goals?
Meaning, frames, suspensions, etc? Any advice would be appreciated!
