If you are not dealing with Dewey Barber Chevrolet ,right there in Warrior, already you need to stop by there and take a look. Last week they had a silver, a black, and a red one right there on the lot. Ask for Scott Barber, he will work with you and like others have said, you will drive off in your new Z TODAY! If you don't mind me asking, what dealership has been jerking you around like this. If you ever want to get together to admire each others rides, let me know as I work in the Warrior area and live in Oneonta.Good luck!
I agree with everyone's comments but one part they didn't touch on is:
If the dealer told you production was cut off in April they are LYING to you. The last 2002's were produced June 21, 2002 not April.
I can't believe they made you pay a $5,000 deposit. We ordered a 2003 Z06 back in May and a 2003 convertible last week from different dealers. Neither made us put any deposit on the cars.
You need to print out this thread and take it to the dealer. Demand your money back TODAY! :smash: Then contact one of the forum dealers and work a deal.
The dealer is a shark. The $5k deposit should have been your first clue. I won't put anymore than a $1k deposit on a new car. My dealer didn't even require a deposit - my word was good with him.
I suggest you get your deposit back, and contact another dealer or one of the supporting vendors /brokers on this site. They'll treat you right. :yesnod:
Ok, sorry I took so long to respond to everyone (work) :smash:
After reading everyones' replies I have made up my mind to get my money back and kick this dealer to the curb. I'm tired of getting the shaft and I want my ZO6! :cuss
Ive read enough info on here that Im going to give some of the forum dealers a call tomorow, so to any dealers that read this if you get a call for info on ordering an '03 ZO6 its probably me.
I say ordering cause I want the museum dilivery.
The dealership I was working with was Stockton Chevrolet in Clanton, AL. I hadnt heard much on them but what I did hear sounded just fine untill now, so... :bs
Also, I updated my email address so it should work just fine now. :chevy
Thanks everyone for all the info, if theres anything I can do for you lemme know :D
