Saw one on the Kerbecks showroom floor few years ago. Don't know if they still have it. In person it was a sharp looking car. Not for me personally but I can see how a collector would want it. Good to see them pop up every now and then as it's just one more tiny piece of the Corvette history.
There has been one popping on Chicago Craigslist since sometime late last year for $39,000. Don't recall if they ever stated what number it was, but it was a coupe. Haven't seen it lately.
theres only one rarer. it was a color that they only made 1. I cant remember the color but only one produced. but ive always wanted to see the aztek gold
It was called Platinum Purple. 1 of 1 that an employee won in a drawing if I remember right.
I don't really care for the gold but wouldn't kick it out of the garage if I owned it.

I saw one of the Aztec Gold C5s at Kerbecks a number of years ago. The color is actually very nice - just wish GM would have been able to get all the panels to match each other and continue that color.

98 or 78?
I had a 78 Trans Am, the color was Solar Gold. Looked very similar to the Aztec Gold on the Vettes. It was vandalized by some teenagers on the Air Force Base I was stationed at one night. The Pontiac dealer tried 4 times to match the paint and couldn't. GM rep had them repaint the whole car.
IIRC, Troy Roberts had an Aztec Gold C5. I got a chance to meet him at the 50th Anniversary event at the NCM. He was out in the parking lot cleaning up his car.
I have an '87 C4 that's gold. One of something like 395 that were painted that color. It's too bad that GM had problems with getting gold paint to work. I wonder what a C7 would look like in gold?
