Have a C5 that has the Passive slider selector on remotes.
I recently changed the batteries in the remotes and programmed the remotes to the vehicle. Both remotes lock/unlock the doors and pop the trunk. All is good so far..
We are noticing that even though the Passive selector is set to OFF on both remotes that occassionally when we walk by car it is either locking/unlocking the doors which seems strange as neither my wife nor I have the keys in our hand.
Is there another setting somewhere to shut the passive system off or is this typical behavior?
Never had a vehicle like this before and hope its not possessed.
I replaced my battery last week and noticed my interior lights were on in the garage. Remote is close to door by the garage. Then I heard the car honk. I slid the slider to the right and then back to the left. That must have reset it because now it is working properly.

I have the same thing happening, on my 99 c5. It does it about every other time. I start to walk away and hear it, so now to make sure it is locked at a destination, I put the keys down away from the car and walk back to make sure its locked. PIA, but..........

Just like a few minutes ago I waxed the entire car and not a peep from the door locks. Guess I won't drive myself crazy over it.
