Now a proud owner of C5 2004 Lemans Blue Convertible.
Have lots of questions, but just two for now.
Upgrading factory Bose deck to a Kenwood Head Unit, with ROEM VET1 adapter, Alpine Sub installed in Stealth Box, powered by Pioneer Mono Amp. Want to install Multi Channel Pioneer amp to run all six other speakers, but have been told it is not possible.
Power antenna goes down but not up. Took it apart and the white nylon cord was broken. Would prefer just to attach a shorty antenna. Is this possible and still get reception.?
I would just disconnect the rear speakers and run quality components up front. You wouldn't be able to run the factory Bose speakers from an aftermarket amp, as the Bose amps are built into the speaker unit. Personally I'm a huge fan of Focal and Hertz speakers, but there are tons of great sets depending on how much $$ you throw at it.
Go look in the Audio section at the install I just did on my 2002. I strongly recommend putting a good speaker in the rear, unless you don't drive with the top down much. The Pioneers I used front and back weren't much money, neither was the amp to drive them.
Here's a picture of everything I used but the sub. Sounds great!
Nice install, I have the exact same model. I can't tell from the pic, but if you want an out of site option for the hands free mic, it fits perfectly behind the air temp sensor beside the ignition

If the question is “can I run I multi channel amp” it’s really going to need wired directly to the speakers it’s driving anyway, so I don’t see why it isn’t possible.
It is also obviously going to do away with any Bose involvement. So the answer seems to me, why not? It of course means quite a lot of cable running etc.
I’ve just done it with pioneer 3 ways in the rear apertures and 6x9’s up front. I had to if I want any bass because some clever clogs (at some stage in my C5’s life) snipped the multi plug off that runs the Bose signal processor when they fitted an aftermarket head unit.
So I ran 3 pairs of RCA’s/Phono’s rear deck to head unit and new speaker cabling into the rear apertures and into the front doors.
Here’s my doors now. If of any interest or help I removed the Bose pods and placed clear Perspex over the space in the door. I was then able to mark the Perspex where mounting holes and the cuts etc would be and used it as a template.
