01 vs 02 transmission difference?
Help....
What are the transmission difference between the 01 and 02 z06 vettes....?
Test drove one of each and the 01 shifted differently (so it seemed) vs the 02......

Correct on the Tremec. Transmissions are the same but the maximum clutch pressure has been increased about 8-10% over 2001 and the clutch effort actually reduced a little.

from what I understand, the syncro's are made of a carbon fiber material in the '02's, as opposed to paper on the '01's also.....
Supposed to be a lot more durable.......... :rolleyes:
